Basically the writer felt it was a usual thing for people to be arrested forcefully during the night however there was no good or genuine reasons why people would be arrested and be adopted by force on the other hand house were burned down or sometimes they were literally blown up, this would generally result in villagers being left without any properties. However these did not mean a lot as they felt powerful after they won the war therefore this implied that every body and every property in the entire country belonged to them.
